Last week, the team from NCM Associates brought together some of the brightest minds in automotive fixed operations for the inaugural “Fuel the Future” Fixed Ops Summit at the Kansas City Marriott Country Club Plaza, May 18-20.
With approximately 150 fixed ops managers and general managers attending from dealerships across the United States, the event created an incredible opportunity for collaboration, education, and conversations about the future of dealership service operations.
Connecting with Industry Leaders
As a proud sponsor of Tuesday afternoon’s networking break, the team from OnSite Dealer Solutions enjoyed the opportunity to connect with dealership leaders focused on elevating customer experience, operational efficiency, and long-term profitability within their service departments.
Representing OnSite Dealer Solutions at the event were:
- Anne Hoffman
- Heath Mayor
- Lesly Perdomo
- Natalie Martin
One of the highlights of the afternoon came during the break sponsorship introduction by Rick Ulin, Director at NCM Associates. Rick shared a personal story from his time serving as General Manager of a Kansas City-area dealership that partnered with OnSite Dealer Solutions.
After being newly hired into the GM role, Rick believed he could bring the dealership’s detailing operations in-house and manage the department more effectively himself. As part of that decision, he ended the dealership’s partnership with OnSite Dealer Solutions.
However, after about a month of operating without ODS services, he quickly recognized the operational value, consistency, and expertise the team had been providing and brought OnSite Dealer Solutions back to the dealership shortly afterward.
It was a meaningful and authentic story that reflected the long-standing relationships and trust built within the automotive industry. Rick has remained a respected colleague and valued expert in the fixed ops arena, and we appreciated his willingness to share that experience with attendees.
A Valuable Industry Gathering
Throughout the summit, conversations centered around the evolving challenges dealerships are facing in today’s market, from technician retention and customer expectations to process optimization and service lane efficiency.
It was encouraging to see so many industry professionals committed to innovation and continuous improvement.
Events like Fuel the Future provide more than educational sessions. They create meaningful opportunities for peer-to-peer learning, strategic partnerships, and practical conversations around what dealership teams need to perform at a higher level.
Bringing together dealership leaders from across the country allowed attendees to share ideas, discuss best practices, and explore new ways to strengthen fixed operations performance.
The energy throughout the event reflected a shared commitment to moving the industry forward while supporting dealership teams and customers alike.
Door Prizes & Closing Highlights
At the conclusion of the event, door prizes donated by vendors and sponsors were drawn and presented to attendees.
OnSite Dealer Solutions was excited to present one of our branded Turtlebox Bluetooth speakers to Rick Sanders, General Sales Manager for Bob Moore Cadillac of Edmond.
It was a fun way to close out a successful event and celebrate the relationships built throughout the summit.
